Red bean cake
The filling and crust can vary considerably: the filling may be generous and the cake may stay neither dry nor hard once cooled, while the crust can also be heavy and not crisp enough, with less filling.
Fengren Ice
The ice can be dense and firm, served with soybeans and ice cream; prices of NT$40–60 have been recorded, but the flavor may be faint, sometimes as if water had been added.
Shredded radish
The savory seasoning pairs well with the cake, but the same flavor can also be extremely off-putting; preferences vary widely.
