Signature Dishes

  • Scallion flower roll

Before the move, it had plenty of sesame and was unexpectedly soft, with generous scallions; one visit included eating it and taking two portions to go.

  • Sesame flatbread with youtiao

The shaobing is generally soft and easy to eat, while the youtiao is crisp and not too oily; the shaobing may also be partly undercooked with a raw-dough taste.

  • Pan-fried dumplings

At times they have had thin wrappers, a crisp sear and an easy bite; after the move, they may have thicker wrappers, less filling and a lighter flavor, and have also been served cool.

  • Savory soy milk

The savory soy milk is rich; adding dried shrimp, preserved radish and chili oil brings more flavor. The egg version may not be hot enough, with an egg that is still undercooked.

  • Doughnut

Crisp outside and chewy inside, with a substantial texture rather than the way a typical bakery doughnut collapses when pressed.
