Signature Dishes

  • Rou Guo

The exterior is crisp, while the cake is chewy and sticky; after soaking in the sauce, it tends to become soft and mushy. You can order rou guo and eggs in a "number + number" combination; garlic paste, cilantro, and chili can be added to taste, and the spiciness may have a lingering kick.

  • Egg Pancake

Availability has at times been limited by the time of day and quantity: it was available only after around 7 a.m. and sold out before 8; when freshly fried, the edges were crisp and the center chewy-soft, but a kept-warm version has also had poorer texture.

  • Soy Milk

It is sweetened but not overly sweet, and goes down smoothly.

  • Rice Milk

Neither too thin nor too thick, neither too sweet nor too bland, with a balanced flavor; availability has changed at times.

What you should know

  • The open-style seating area has no air conditioning, so dining can feel hot in summer.
  • There are many residences and red curb lines nearby, so fully legal parking spots can be hard to find.
  • The storefront has no sign; on a first visit, look for the water-refill station next door as a landmark.
