Signature Dishes
Braised pork rice
The boxed serving is generous and comes with two or three slices of lean meat; the braising sauce is not overly salty and pairs well with the rice. The braised pork rice falls somewhere between pork-belly rice and braised pork rice, and may be less deeply flavored, more of a low-key supporting player.
Cucumber soup
Light with a fresh sweetness; the cucumber is naturally sweet, and the broth combines the fresh sweetness of milkfish with pork-bone stock. The shredded meat is tender, and there are plenty of add-ins.
Shrimp rice
Built on chicken-braised rice, with the shrimp laid separately on top; the shrimp are springy, with a little starch coating and a slightly sticky surface, and can also have a texture reminiscent of rehydrated shrimp.
Braised pork skin
The braising sauce tastes like a more concentrated version of tea egg; the pork skin is springy and deeply flavored.
Taro
The taro slices are soft, fragrant, and fluffy; a root vegetable you can pick directly from the braised-food counter.
