Signature Dishes
Tube-steamed sticky rice
The rice ranges from springy and distinct to soft and glutinous without turning mushy; it has plenty of lean or minced pork, sauce soaked into the rice, and pickled ginger on the side. It can also be oily, with occasional uneven cooking.
Steamed egg soup
The steamed egg is tender, and the broth is light and not too salty, with mushrooms and pork; it can also have a clear-soup-like character. There was previously an option to ask at the counter for more broth after finishing it.
Sailfish ring soup
The sailfish rings have a distinctive shape and a firm, chewy texture; the broth is clear and gently sweet, and pairs well with the rice.
Pork rib soup
The ribs are tender and fall-apart; the broth ranges from tasty to light, the pepper marinade can be strong, and it has at times been served not hot enough.
Iron egg
Sweet with five-spice notes and a well-seasoned braise, the egg white is firm and springy; the aroma can be faint, or the flavor may feel unremarkable.
