Taipei CityZhongshan DistrictTaiwanese restaurant
A fifty-year-old restaurant in Liaoning Night Market specializing in assorted beef stir-fries.
Signature Dishes
Oyster Omelet
The oysters are fairly large, with sauce and a crisp-fried base; there are also instances of oysters not being hot enough and a texture more like a firm pancake.
Beef Offal Soup
It contains sliced beef, tripe, lung, and a beef shoulder cut (板腱), and broth can be added; textures range from crisp to chewy to soft, while the 板腱 has a foam-like chew.
Beef Fried Rice
The rice grains have a balanced firmness; it is a little oily but fragrant.
Beef Stir-Fried Noodles
The noodles are springy and well-seasoned; there have also been instances of slight sourness, a refrigerator-like taste in the beef, and toppings limited to scallions and onions.
Beef Gravy Rice
After the renovation, it became slightly sweeter and thicker; there have also been instances of it arriving lukewarm and leaving a disappointing impression.
